The Production technology of carriage bolt

Carriage bolt is not one of our common standard screws, which is widely used in many electronic, electrical, mechanical manufacturing and furniture production. When we manufacture carriage screw, there are two kinds of commonly used processes. One is cold heading process, which is also called cold forging process. The other is red forging process, which is also called red punching and red beating carriage bolt What is the difference between the standard parts and Carriage bolts produced by these two processes? Under what circumstances will the screw factory use it in the manufacture of Carriage bolts? Cold forging technology is used to produce carriage screw by cold forging machine, directly using wire drawing wire, through cold upsetting die, direct extrusion forming. It is used by most fastener factories. When producing carriage bolts, the cost is lower, the efficiency is faster, and it is easy to operate and save a lot of labor costs. It is suitable for the production and manufacturing of small size carriage screws. Under normal circumstances, the carriage bolts below M16 are generally cold pier or cold punching process.



Hot Forging technology is also more common in the production of carriage bolts. It uses punch and heater to forge the cut bar to form the head. This requires more labor cost and slower efficiency. The additional costs such as electricity charge are higher in the production of carriage bolts. This process is applicable to large-scale carriage bolts, generally M16 or non-standard ones.
